Connecticut Beekeepers Association
Our purpose is to increase public awareness of the importance of honey bees for Connecticut agriculture and the environment. CBA fosters strong bonds among beekeepers and to promote the education and the advancement of the scientific knowledge of beekeeping and its related activities for the benefit of beekeepers and our communities.
Together We Can Achieve Our Goals:
Bring new people into the hobby and helping to build Connecticut into a major honey-producing state
Identify common problems facing beekeepers
Increase public awareness of the benefits of consuming native honey and using hive products
Share ideas & information about treatments for diseases & pests
Boost community presence and collaboration between local beekeepers
Give local beekeepers a voice with State and National representatives on issues that affect the industry
Bee Yard Workshops
We partner with Boulder Knoll Community Farm in offering hands-on beekeeping workshops from March through September.
Guest Speaker Series
CBA invites guest speakers from across the world of beekeeping to share their knowledge & expertise with our group. Register to attend these dynamic events.
Mentorship Program
We offer beekeeping mentorship that connects experienced beekeepers with new members - offered in person (where available) or via email.
